Would you be interested in selling your business?

We are a group of private individuals (not brokers or a corporate), working together to share best practice, and we are purchasing businesses across the country. Recently, we have also purchased a long running business in Coventry.

We are looking to grow this business through acquisition and working cooperatively to grow related businesses based in the Midlands. 

 

Business owners are selling to us for a variety of reasons:

You want to retire – a large percentage of owners started their businesses a long time ago and want to retire. We guarantee to keep the name of the business and all the staff in place. Owners have the option to stay on as consultants so we can make sure there’s no disruption to the staff, clients and suppliers.

You are moving out of the sector – has your sector become too challenging and stressful, with more and more paperwork and government scrutiny? We can make the transfer of ownership stress-free and, in a recent example, we agreed that the owners become part-time consultants.

You don’t want to sell to a corporate – we are individuals with our own funding. We are not brokers and we aren’t part of a chain. We want each setting to retain its management and team and their unique identity and reputation in the community. 

How we can help: talking to us is 100% confidential and as we are not a corporate we are friendly and approachable – we aren’t interested in a long negotiation and can give you a decision as to whether we are interested in days. 

Our criteria is simple: 

       

    1. We are looking for businesses that will still operate even if you, the owner, has moved on. This may involve promoting someone to manager if you currently hold that position. We would not bring in external people – we would rather promote from within.
    2. We want to maintain the name and reputation you have built up and also the staff – so a team in which you have confidence is a bonus. 
    3. We promise to keep our conversations confidential – we would not visit the business until later in the process and then only as clients being shown round.

If you own the property, we can either buy it from you or lease it, so that you can benefit from ongoing income. 

This is also really important to us:

  • You are willing to help us during a handover period (length to be mutually agreed). 
  • You are interested in selling in the near future – preferably in the next 3-12 months. We are in a position to move quickly. If your plans are longer term, please get in touch so that we can start a conversation. It’s never too early!
  • You are easy to get on with! We want this to be an enjoyable experience and not a stressful one. We want to keep accountants and lawyers fees to a minimum, and keep everything as simple as possible.
